Women Empowerment Through Employment – USAID & CARE International

CHRS collaborated with international partners to promote socioeconomic independence of women through skills development, entrepreneurship support, and linkages with local markets. Many women in targeted areas were previously unable to earn or make financial decisions.

The program offered:

  • Tailored vocational skills training
  • Business development coaching
  • Awareness on financial rights & leadership
  • Guidance for market entry and home-based enterprises

The result was a major shift in gender power dynamics — as women began participating in income generation, some even becoming primary earners for their families. Increased household income improved children’s education and health decisions, creating generational impact.

This initiative demonstrated how earning opportunities convert empowerment from theory to reality. CHRS
