For many Pakistani women, mobility challenges are the biggest barrier to employment. CHRS worked with ILO to conduct Training of Trainers (TOT) programs for National Highways & Motorway Police and transport stakeholders to help improve women’s safety and dignity in public transportation.
The training emphasized:
- Workplace harassment laws
- Gender-sensitive customer service
- Safe commuting protocols
- Awareness campaigns within transport systems
By equipping government officers and transport institutions with these skills, the project contributed to structural improvements in how women travel for work — ultimately helping expand female workforce participation across Pakistan.
