Shahraj Raza :: Research Associate Legal
Shahraj Raza is currently enrolled in LLB (Hons) degree at SOAS, University of London and holds interest in Human rights, social development and women empowerment. She is working as a Legal Research Assistant at CHRS and will be contributing towards raising awareness about legal and social affairs through her writing. As a law student she has experienced working with renowned law firms: Legal Aid Cell, Cornelius, Lane and Mufti, Ramdays Law Chamber, Dr Khalid Ranjha Law Chamber and Attorney General of Pakistan’s office as a paralegal internee. She is a current member of the SOAS Debates Society and has participated in SOAS IV, SOAS Open and SOAS School tournaments. She is also doing academic research in contemporary legal issues, humanitarian law and South Asian law for the SOAS Law Journal. She is an existing member of the SOAS Law Society and Lawyers Beyond Borders Society where she has helped in conducting mooting competitions, exclusive career and networking events, skills workshops and Law clinics. She is one of the executive members of the SOAS Pakistan Student Association. Her social work involves organising fund raising activities with Kaavish and Akhuwat Organisation. She has also worked with SOS Village and Next Generation Pakistan as a student internee.
